Giving something back
At Fluid, we think beyond profit to support projects and make a meaningful contribution to the wider community. Whilst we certainly aren't perfect, we're authentic - and always try our best to deliver products with minimal impact on our environment, and give back to the community and projects that benefit others - not just ourselves.
We promise to be responsible, which means that our drive to help inform better product choices goes beyond the pursuit of profit. Our Futures group at Fluid is dedicated to finding ways to do things better - listening to new ideas, starting conversations, and encouraging small changes that make our industry a better place.
Way back in 2006, we launched 'Eco Incentives' as an environmentally led sub-brand of Fluid. It soon became clear that our eco range not so much of a niche and more of a central part of our ethos and core business - so we merged it into the core brand. We went on to achieve carbon neutral status and ISO 9001 & 14001 accreditation, as it became obvious that strong purpose meant good business. Better business allowed us to do more beyond profit.
As part of our commitment to the wider community, we also encourage the team to get involved in various charitable works to highlight issues and help where we can. We've also set up a Charity & Community Project Match Funding scheme - read more below...
We're B Corp Certified
We're also B Corp Certified, meaning we meet the highest standard of verified social and environmental performance, transparancy and accountability, to balance profit and purpose. You can read more about B Corporations, and what it means to be one, right here.
Carbon Net Zero
In July 2020, we announced our commitment to becoming carbon net zero by 2030, alongside over 700 other certified B Corporations. Our commitment is 20 years ahead of the 2050 targets set in the Paris Climate accords. B CorpÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Climate Collective is a member of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Our Three Pillars
As part of our commitment to people, environment, and community, we have developed a 'purpose framework' - designed to ensure we're always being our best selves in everything we do. Our three pillars - Futures, Friends and Family - articulate our business ethos beyond profit and help to govern the commercial decisions we make.
We work with an amazing bunch of people - even if we do say so ourselves! That's why each pillar group is run - not by our directors - but by a focus group of passionate team members, meaning that everyone at Fluid has the power to shape what we do and how we can make positive differences.
